About Sam Riggleman:

• Received 2011 “Ethics in Coaching” Award from American Baseball Coaches Association.  Received the award in front of 4000 coaches in Nashville this January.  The ABCA believes that the highest calling of a baseball coach is to teach life lessons and to model the character traits of honesty, integrity, respect and personal responsibility and that a coach’s moral and ethical conduct both on and off the field deeply influences players.  Sam has given workshops on coaching, character, and leadership all over the USA.
• Inducted in 2009 into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Hall of Fame.
• His career win-loss record is an impressive 875-568 as a collegiate head coach over 35 years, placing him on the top 10 all-time in wins among college baseball coaches!
• Twice named NAIA Coach of the Year: 2000, 2007:  Spring Arbor was an impressive 48-5 in 2007! They were NAIA World Series runner- up in 2007 and a semi-finalist in 2008.
• Sam has coached at all levels of collegiate baseball, including Mount Vernon Nazarene (NAIA), Southern Illinois University (NCAA I), Bethel College (NAIA), and Dallas Baptist University(NCAA 2), before coming head coach at Spring Arbor in 2005.
